I hadn’t really looked at any of the animation controls in the 3D software because I feel like I still have loads of other stuff to learn before I can even think about making things move…. I didn’t want to try and run before I could walk – but I got curious and ended up doing exactly that! Here’s a short animation I did with a character from an illustration idea I did a while back. (And here it is as a Vine post that I put up on my Twitter, so you can hear his banging choons!)
“Run on the treadmill all day and you too can have bun buns of steel!”
I’m not sure if I’ll be doing lots of animations – it’s something I’ve always found quite difficult, and I think the 3D programme I use has a slightly clumsy way of showing where you have placed keyframes on the timeline at present, which doesn’t make things any easier (unless I’ve completely missed something, which is possible!) – but it is kind of cute to see things come alive so maybe I can practice with small looping things to see if I enjoy it a bit more!
